Parking and Local Transportion

If you are driving to KMC NY, you must obtain a parking pass when you register for the Festival. Fees for these passes are:

• $3/car/day – Friday
• $5/car/day – Saturday, Sunday, Monday
• $0 (no charge) – Tuesday, Wednesday

These fees apply to our on-site and off-site lot to help cover the costs of shuttle services. For cars with a Festival parking pass and three or more passengers, and for those with a Festival parking pass and a valid handicapped parking permit, limited parking is available at KMC NY on a “first come, first serve” basis. Late-comers and non-qualifying cars will be directed to park at Mt. View Resort approximately one mile from KMC NY. A free shuttle will travel regularly between this lot and the Festival site.

Shuttle Service from the Hampton Inn and Days Inn (previously Comfort Inn)

Shuttle Service from the Hampton Inn in Matamoras and Days Inn in Port Jervis to KMC NY will be available for a fee of $10/day/person on the peak days of the Festival.  This shuttle will run as follows:

• Friday night – depart HI at 5:30pm and DI at 5:35 pm, leave KMC NY at 10pm
• Saturday, Sunday, Monday – depart HI at 8:45am and DI at 8:50 am, leave KMC NY 30 minutes after evening puja ends
• Tuesday, Wednesday – no shuttle, please plan to car pool

There will be a ride-share board near the Festival Information Desk to assist guests with carpooling.

Public Transportation from New York City & Port Jervis

Bus:Buses travel daily from Port Authority in NYC, stopping at the Best Western in Matamoras, PA, which is directly behind the Hampton Inn. www.coachusa.com

Train:Daily trains run from NY Penn Station and Newark Airport to Port Jervis, with a change in Secaucus, NJ. www.njtransit.com

Taxi:Taxis are available in Port Jervis to KMC NY. ($18/car each way – phone: JL Taxi (845) 856-3544 or A1A Tri-State Taxi (845) 858-8294

Newark Airport Bus Service

A Festival airport bus from Newark Liberty Airport (EWR) to the Hampton Inn and KMC NY is available, $25 one way. The bus will depart from Newark at 2pm on Friday, April 23. Please indicate your itinerary for return when you register for the Festival so that we can help you make travel arrangements back to Newark airport by shuttle, carpool, or public transportation.  Return transport will be arranged according to demand.

Driving directions from Port Jervis

You're almost there! It's just 10 miles and about 20 minutes to KMC NY by car. Take Route 97 west from Port Jervis for approximately 6 miles, through scenic Hawks Nest. Crossing a small bridge, turn right onto County Road 31 (CR-31) and continue for exactly 4 miles to Sweeney Road, which is on the right side around a curve. (Yes, the KMC NY sign is small--if you see Pete's Country Store, you've gone too far.) Turn onto Sweeney Road, and KMC NY is 1/4 mile.
